When it started in Guinea, I took time off my busy schedule and - TopicsExpress

When it started in Guinea, I took time off my busy schedule and sent early warnings about the deadly ebola virus. My sister Emily and others are my witness. A Victor Dorthery and many others came down hard on me and called me all sorts of names. Victor said I was stupid, a dictator as I was like dictating to the ministry of health and sanitation the preventive measures they should take. He said I knew nothing about virology and that I was not a patriotic Sierra Leonean. Others were calling Miatta Kargbo Doctor Kargbo and that she is the best health minister ever in the history of Salone. But as the good old book says the truth shall set you free, here we are today. Here I come again. I am made to understand that screening of people are now going on at various check points all over the country for suspected ebola victims. At Bandama check point before entering into Kenema is one of such check points. I am also made to understand that at this check point, there is only one clinical thermometer. Questions that I am still struggling with in both of my cerebral cortex are as follows: 1. Is the president and the government taking this ebola crisis serious? 2. Who are the people doing the screening? 3. Are there no disposable thermometers in the whole country? 4. How skillful are the people that are doing the screening? 5. Will the use of one thermometer on different people not help in spreading the virus as we all know how the disease is spread considering how careless the people doing the screening are and if they are trained in that respect at all? 6. How many people will they screen using a single clinical thermometer? Can some one please help me out I am getting worried.
