When little things are huge...today Dad dropped a socket set and every part went flying. He called for John and told him he needed his help. John not only picked up every part, but did so quickly and scooping up 2-3 sockets at a time. The job was quickly done and John was very proud. Later in the afternoon John and I were at a check out in Dollar General. I pulled out my wallet and the coin part was open, coins went flying. Without being ask, John began to pick up each coin and rather than hand them to me, reached up and deposited them right back into the open coin area of my wallet. People please understand, when a person is disabled in a means that keeps them from speaking, moving, doing, whatever, please understand its not a lack of knowing what to do, its the disability keeping them from doing! All those years John didnt help or reach for something, was not because he didnt know too, but he was disabled and frozen from being able to expresses that knowledge.
