When my Dad passed away last December I inherited various tools - TopicsExpress

When my Dad passed away last December I inherited various tools and hardware supplies from the little workbench he had in his basement. I had boxed all his stuff up, and this afternoon I decided to begin the task of going through it all to merge it in with my own stuff. It has taken time for me to understand my fathers system of organizing things, but I think Ive almost got part of it figured out: 3/4 finishing nails go in the Heinz Tomato Juice can. 1 finishing nails go in the Heinz Tomato Juice can. 2 drywall screws go in the Heinz Tomato Juice can. 2 spiral nails go in the Heinz Tomato Juice can. All sizes of carriage bolts go in the Heinz Tomato Juice can. Anything resembling a small nut or bolt goes into the Mr. Peanut can. Plumbing washers of all shapes/sizes go into the Mr. Peanut can. All marettes go into the Mr. Peanut can. A pink Bic lighter goes into the Mr. Peanut can, at the bottom. Larger bolts go in the Allens Apple Juice can. Screw-in fuses of any amperage go in the Allens Apple Juice can. 6 aluminum eavestrough nails go in the Allens Apple Juice can. I still have to work out how he made use of the Chock Full o Nuts coffee can, and several other storage containers. Since this was my Dads way of sorting things, I have to believe there was some method to his madness. This might be too big a task for my obsessive nature. ;)
