When my worlds collide: Caretakers and Warriors do you have "that" time of year when all your roles (worlds) collide. My wife is a school teacher and I have a brand new 3rd grader and 1st grader. I also run what is fast becoming a go to Non-profit for people across the country. Requests for speaking engagements are up, adventures and retreats are on the move and I currently have three sponsored PTSD Service Dogs in Training!!! So as the summer ends and the kids need prepping for school, my role as daddy increases, as my wife goes into school everyday to start the process of preparing her classroom for the incoming class, my "Honey do" list seems to grow with each day. As founder and president of OWW I am trying to put the finishing touches on a new website, answer several questionnaires to obtain money to keep the lights on and keep saving and changing the lives of our deserved warriors, that role never stops being demanding and I would have it no other way......What are you colliding roles? Regardless of how crazy things get I TRY (and sometimes fail miserably) to remember to take "be kind to me moments" throughout every day. We only can do so much in any given day, so give yourself a break, whatever role is demanding your most attention make sure you never get to take the time to embrace yourself in your many roles and know you are doing the best you can.....
