When people say How are you?... they dont care. When they say Let me know if you need anything.... they expect you not to. When they say I will be here for you, no matter what.... they dont mean it. This is the world we live in. Where every utterance hides an agenda. Every sentence, totally disingenuous, from the first word to the last. Yet... we want real people in our lives. People we can trust to be loyal. To protect us. To honor and respect us. What a funny notion all that is. We are taught to need and want all these things. Then we are taught (through school and media) to do the exact opposite of everything that will achieve this for us. No wonder we are never fully happy nor satisfied. We do not even know what real looks like. We get one thing then want another. We do not know happiness, because we do not know truth. We do not know truth because we do not know honesty. We do not know honesty because we do not have self-love. We do not have self-love because we are taught to prize money, physical beauty (which fades), man-made objects and titles more than we prize ourselves and each other. How much have we really evolved? #Knowyourworth
