When people talk about "northerners" and what the "north" wants while making permutations about the 2015 Presidential Election, they always seem to forget that the north is not a homogenous political, tribal or religious entity. There are Muslim and Christian northerners. There are Hausa, Fulani, Berom, Tangale, Kanuri, Tiv, Idoma, Kataf, Junkun, Shuwa, Nupe, Igbirra and even Yoruba northerners. So who really are the "northerners" who do not want President Goodluck Jonathan to run for re-election in 2015? Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and most of his "New PDP" folks cannot even win a free and fair election in their Local Government Areas today. And they know it. Many of them cannot even walk among their people without wearing bullet-proof vests while being shielded by their body-guards. If they were so sure of themselves, why have they not left the PDP entirely and openly joined the PDM or APC which some of them have been funding secretly?
