When someone you love is diagnosed with cancer, no matter the type, the availability of treatment, or the probability of winning or losing the fight, there is an uncertainty that punches you in the stomach & takes your breathe away. I was with my mom today as she was given her diagnosis of uterine cancer. Do I know its beatable? Sure, I beat it 12 years ago. Does that make me feel better? Maybe. Maybe not. Am I hopeful? Of course, its my mommy Im taking about. Shes the strongest and toughest person I know. My mom didnt flinch when the Dr told her, she said lets get this taken care of. My uncertainty of what is to follow in the days ahead doesnt matter. Lets get it taken care of mama. Tomorrow she sees a specialist. I believe in the power of positive energy, so if you have some, shoot it my mamas way, please.
