When the Quad was in Denver this week, he went straight to his progressive ideology in his comments to a hand-picked crowd at Cheesman Park. He refused to address any of the current issues critical to our economic well-being and only touched topics intended to whip up his following for the mid-term elections. He talked about universal preschool – not immigration. He talked about raising the minimum wage – not job creation. He talked about bringing college tuition costs under control – not getting rid of ineffective teachers using tenure to hold on to their jobs. He says he is not responsible. The villains are Republicans in Congress – not his own incompetent policies. This was supposed to be a speech about economic issues; so, why didnt he talk about reforming entitlement programs, required if we want to keep our country fiscally solvent and out of bankruptcy, and tax reform — including corporate tax reform — that will unleash the $3 Billion corporations are holding in cash for investment. He is silent on these issues because they are unpopular with his party and promote an embarrassing narrative for his legacy. Lawmakers will not take on these issues this year because Quad Zero cannot provide the leadership to make it happen. He should have used this trip to do something on behalf of the American people, who paid for the trip, and not just flap his lips to a hand-picked crowd that would only respond adoringly and keep him disconnected from reality. But he has no intention of talking about conservative efforts that would promote fiscal solvency and economic growth. He would rather double down on his evil progressive narrative than do what is right for the American people!
