When the UK punk scene exploded in 1977, the MC5 were often named as a major influence. Unfortunately, one of the major architects of the bands sound, guitarist Wayne Kramer, was doing time for dealing cocaine, so a benefit single was issued to help him out. The A-side was a remake of the the MC5 classic Ramblin Rose, but the lo-fi B-side showed the more interesting direction Kramers career would take after getting out of prison.
