When the alter ego speaks Politically Incorrect. Have you ever thought, why she didnt shed a tear, or why he didnt scream out loud, why didnt they pause and cry why were there no sulks, tears, complaints, cries, shouts. I cant cry For every protest seeks a listener. My rights exists only when you acknowledge me. for only in recognition can there be pain, abuse, joy, laughter. Unfortunately then, the sad truth is, I need you to give me my rights. So the next time, you look them in the eye, dont tell them that all will be fine. Tell them, you know they exist. For that is the beginning When sheer existence is a mark of defiance. So the next time, you ask me about my silences hidden beneath a rush of words Remember, the stories of obstructed rivers. they form small rivulets, at times change their course and perhaps in defeat sink under the earth, marking mushy brown lands decades pass by and a jilt to the earth, makes all tumble upwards, at times drowning, at times saving lives. Remember that all that was needed was a small path, the river would have co existed. P.S. Part political, part personal- both, a struggle for recognition.
