When we do an honest assessment of how we learn religion we always arrive at the same conclusion. Religion is indoctrinated into young impressionable minds so that it is cemented before they develop the cognitive abilities to question such principles however flawed they may be. Having said this, I believe the lunch lady or the schools administrators did not correctly interpret the First Amendment which requires a separation of church and state. A child privately praying in a public school does not violate this.
