When we first moved here nearly twelve years ago a teacher told my daughter she couldnt read her Bible during her free time. This teachers husband is an attorney. I have found that most public school faculty really dont know students rights under the first amendment. I have also found that because of their ignorance they tend to bully students. Students and parents should not be intimidated. One would think that faculty would want students be exposed to a healthy moral guide as opposed to some of the immorality children are exposed to in the classroom in the form of R rated movies . I even had one teach call me last year complaining because one of my children was swearing in a class. We dont teach our children to swear in our home and it is not allowed. hummm..... I wonder at what environment it was picked up from? FYI all student have the right to read the Bible or religious material before, after school and during free reading time if they so choose at a public school in this country without being harassed or bullied by faculty or school administration. Even here in Wolf Point, MT.
