When we purify our soul (get rid of the energy blocks preventing us from accepting our true self) then we start to emanate more "light"/God consciousness which affects those around us. The more time they are in our company their cells will adapt to the different environment and by association they will begin to evolve and purify their souls through the removal of energy blocks. Biologically, cells have a natural inclination to adapt to whatever environment they are in - look at nature for all the proof. Therefore it is always important to surround yourself with those whose behaviours you most want to emanate or whose "light" you most want to learn from. Having a "Master" to learn from not only helps you with the conscious part of the learning process, it helps you biologically through being in their presence and thus helping to remove those energy blocks.
