When you are unified together through the Harmonization of the Spirit, you are partakers of each and everyone’s strength, for a chain is not stronger than the one link. Every link in the chain and the one link in the chain is as strong as the whole chain, as far as the chain is concerned, but when the chain is united together effectively and there is no division where they can separate, the chain can pull with great power because the links are so closely united it is a matter of impossibility for them to be severed. A real chain is that way. So it is with the link, the human chain of humanity, united together as ‘one man at Jerusalem’. So long as we are closely united and will not allow a division to come in the links between us, we will be as strong as the link is and will be as weak as the link is. Therefore, I say, I think it is great, then, when all of the people can see ‘eye to eye and face to face’, and allow some method of society, religion or education, to bring them in close fellowship one with the other where there will be no division among us. —FATHER DIVINE (The New Day July 13, 1963)
