When you grow in spiritual stature, your relationships change. As the signature of the Spirit takes over from the voice of the ego, you will find yourself drawn to people who emit something more than just a sparkling outer package. You will desire deeper, truthful and authentic connections. As your own Self reaches towards the Light and allows it to penetrate and burn away the limiting patterns of the ego, you will not be satisfied with relationships that are based on superficial, status-driven or material concerns. Your soul craves to bond, exchange and entwine with other Souls who are developed enough to see truth, feel truth, live truth and champion truth. The ego wants to satisfy questions such as, Does this relationship flatter my personalitys need for approval? , Does this person assuage my unhealed feelings of unworthiness or emptiness?, Does this partnership or friendship look good to my family and friends? , or Is this person good-looking, cool, rich, successful, acceptable enough? The ego doesnt want to go any deeper than that because it is not interested in excavating into the more profound power of Love. It wants to stay at a surface level, because it feels safe there. It wants to rest in a place where the exchange of love is diluted; is non-threatening to the wounds of the psyche, and does not require any inner work or self-responsibility to maintain. We get to hide within ego-based relationships. We get to avoid confronting our true desires, our true power; our true capacity to love with transformative, world changing ferocity. It can be an easy, comfortable ride this way, because we never have to own our power and take any risks to love with a truly open heart. Many people continue on in relationships that are functioning purely on an ego level and they are happy to stay that way. What happens though, when your Soul decides that it is time for you to surrender to the limitless bounds of sacred love? What happens when the Universe tells you that it is time to grow beyond your comfortable ego patterns and seek only that which fans the flames of your deepest, most eternally soul-driven yearnings for sacred intimacy and truth? You may begin to find that your existing friendships and partnerships do not sit comfortably with you at all. You may even have an uncontrollable need to exit from these relationships because they will suddenly feel toxic, heavy, boring, un-stimulating and achingly superficial. Massive cracks in your life can occur when your heart hears the call from the Divine and begins emitting specific energies to attune to Higher Love. Quite often, everything you have previously known or felt comfortable within the area of relationship can fall away, sometimes all at once, sometimes gradually. This can feel very de-stabilising, and the ego will go CRAZY trying to figure it out, stop it happening and convince you that you were really happy where you were. It will most likely tell you repeatedly that it is very, very unsafe to listen to your heart and allow these changes to happen. In spite of what the ego says, your journey will continue. You have called in this energy to break open your relationship life because the level of connections you were having were stifling, suffocating and slowly killing you inside. Internally, you want this to happen, even though you are scared of how it could look externally. You were born with a mandate to live with a wide-open, scrupulously truthful and deeply-feeling heart. You are not meant to feel dead within your relationships, or to be scraping the surface of what it means to be alive with connections that d not resonate with your Soul Truth. You have chosen to go beyond the 3D, mainstream and conventional structures of what human relationships look like. You are here to break the mould and lead by example. You deserve to have relationships that deeply nourish, ignite, entrance and bewitch your heart. You are worthy of much more than you may have been setting for. Your Spirit is leading you towards, or deeper into, the realm of transformative and soul-shifting connections with others right now. Remember that it is safe to love wildly, fiercely, intensely and truthfully. It is safe to feel Love move you, right down to the very core of your being, and to ascend your Heart into the unified, eternal mandala of Oneness. You were made for this, and it is entering now.
