When you have a snake in one room in a house, its a thing of concern to all rooms in the house - Comrade Shehu Sani. (Correct talk, Comrade Shehu Sani, but, er, you see, there is a little problem. Whatever you smoked this morning before putting up that update on your Facebook Wall cannot be good for your health. Please, while we are all doing the reasonable thing to do now by uniting to kill the snake that is a danger to us all, can you please address a stern sermon to those who brought in the snake to make the room ungovernable for their fellow man in the first place? They thought they could domesticate the snake, feed it like agric broilers, and use it for desired purposes, only for the king cobra to go wild on them. Now they are even grumbling that outsiders have been brought in to kill the snake. And you are asking all of us to sacrifice more of our federal allocation to help the economy in your neighbourhood. The same silly rationalization one heard from Sanusi Lamido Sanusi a while back. When some governors were using the said allocation to break beer bottles, organize mass weddings, and build mosques, where was your voice? You did not know that the money they were misusing could have been spent on education and economic empowerment of the people in the area? And one was hoping that your generation in the north would join similar minds in all the other geo-political zones in the country to provide a robust intellectual basis for a paradigm shift from insipid allocation dependency. There has to be a sound theoretical basis for weaning the regions from that feeding bottle before we can move on to practice. Some of us are making an effort in that direction by providing thought but here you are still talking and dreaming allocation and even asking all states of the federation to pay tithes from their allocation to help you kill the snake. Very disappointing. A younger generation northern intellectual like you should be telling the bitter truth to misbehaving folks in your backyard, not trafficking in clever by half economic rationalizations of why the snake was brought into the room. But, make no mistake about it, that snake will be crushed and our girls will be brought back)
