When you hear the name Muhammad, what does this move within your heart? What does it do to your heart? After the Prophet, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, left this world, Sayedina Bilal could not stay in Madina anymore, everything in Madina reminded him of moments between him and the Prophet. So he moved to a place near Damascus and he married there. One day he woke up crying, and his wife asked, Why do you cry? Bilal said, Last night I saw the Prophet [and does this move anything within you? “I saw Rasulullah” ? The hadith says that “The one who saw me in his dream, saw me truly” this hadith was not said in vain, but to move such meanings within your heart.] So Bilal said: I saw the Prophet saw last night, and he said O Bilal what is this long absence since you visited me? So Bilal left to visit Madina .. When he arrived he met Sayedina Abu Bakr, who asked him O Bilal, will you give the adhan for us as you did for the Messenger of Allah?Bilal said O Khalifa of the Messenger of Allah, please excuse me.. I cannot give the adhan, after I used to give the adhan I would go the blessed room of the Prophet may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and say O prophet of Allah it is time for prayer so where will I go to say this now? Sayedina Umar asked him for the same. And then he met Hassan and Hussein, they were 7 and 8.. the leaders of the youth of paradise and they asked him to give the adhan and Bilal could not bring himself to turn them down. So he ascended the place from where he used to give the adhan and when he said Allahu Akbar the whole of Madina stopped, Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar people moved asking, has the Messenger of Allah returned? They remembered the voice, it reminded them of days with the Prophet- and he said I testify there is no God but Allah and the men and women of Madina came to the streets, people left the markets and workplaces he said I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah and Bilals voice caught in his throat and he could not continue- and the narrator says that Madina wept that day as it had not wept since the day that the Prophet left this world.. This story has been mentioned now in this gathering so we may feel the magnitude of I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah the one who your faith is not complete unless you love him more than yourself, and the one whos love has been tied to the love of Allah, say if you love Allah, follow me, and Allah will love you.. - When the muaddin says I testify that Muhamamd is the messenger of Allah you repeat after him, as we are supposed to, with a heart that is present and aware..
