When you honestly consider the health, wealth, and prosperity - TopicsExpress

When you honestly consider the health, wealth, and prosperity gospel, notice how much it has in common with the devils temptations of Jesus in the wilderness. In a very real sense, the devil offered Jesus health (bread), wealth (the kingdoms of this world), and prosperity (jump down from the temple and be a superstar). And Jesus rejected every one of those temptations. To be sure, God is a good God who loves to bless His children ... but God is much more interested in your long-term holiness than He is your temporary happiness. He is much more focused on developing your character than He is providing for your comforts. Growth comes from adversity, not abundance. Remember, through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God (Acts 14:22).
