When you label an emotion as “bad” you are automatically denying it in some way. Therefore, you will do what is necessary to avoid those emotions which you’ve labeled as “bad” and, in that avoidance, you are not committed to being your truest self. You are not emptying yourself out. You are hiding. Avoiding. Escaping. And, happiness does not live amongst the hidden. Happiness does not keep company with the escapee.
