When you trust your television, what you get is what you got, - TopicsExpress

When you trust your television, what you get is what you got, cause when they own the information they can mend it all they want. - John Mayer, Waiting on the World to Change. Well, its 12 at night and I cant sleep. Yes, and obviously, Im on Facebook (I shouldnt be doing this, should I?). Why cant I fall asleep when Im safe and sound in a bed, in a secure part of my town? Guilt. Guilt is the reason. I feel guilty for not standing up yet. I feel guilty for expecting someone else to. Throughout the years of my short life Ive realized a lot of corruption revolves around my everyday life in a South American country. What I have noticed is the same thing that Malala Yousafzai has helped the public notice. Corrupt people who are in power make it hard to access education. Why? Simply to stay in power. Either that, or they make easily accessible knowledge along with propaganda. Propaganda promoting themselves, to make sure that people are BRAINWASHED. Im sure most of you wont get this reference, but its like the storyline of Mother 3. Good people are being led into thinking that they are happy. In reality, they are being abused, and they are all being brainwashed. Families are torn apart. Siblings die. So do parents. People stop trusting each other because the source of fake happiness tells them to. People begin to fear for their safety because that fake source of happiness creates monsters that it cant even control. Monsters that turn the peaceful territory into unsafe territory. Its time that someone who realized that stood up. Its time for the good people to fight back (always in a peaceful manner). This Venezuela protesting students tragedy crossed the line. I will not just lie here anymore as everything will be alright. I wont sit here expecting someone stronger to speak for me. Now, its my turn. Its time that people learn about the injustice that lurks the street. Now, Venezuelan government, Im just a kid, like the three protestors you murdered. I am. Im weak. I have no fighting power. I have no physical strength. I dont have many powerful friends. What I do have is the power to speak. Apparently, this is hell for you because you blocked twitter in Venezuela. You fear that someone will speak. The few people who have actually given logical arguments agains you have been called fascists by you. Do you have something to back that up? Id like to see that. Anyway, getting to the point, Im going to speak directly to two important people and a group. For President Maduro: I am no fascist , first of all. I want you and the people to know that. My intentions for the people of the world are good. I want whats fair for the world. Nicolas Maduro, what you did was wrong. You can not order ANYONE, ABSOLUTELY ANYONE, to murder a peaceful protestor. Having an officer of the law gun down someone who was displaying no sign of threats is a violation of human rights. You have no right AT ALL to blame Leopoldo Lopez for YOUR acts of violence. Second of all, stop calling people fascist. All people want is fairness and freedom of speech. Because of this, youre describing them with this terrible term. Its ridiculous! Its nearly as ridiculous as saying that the former Venezuelan president made an apparition in the form of a red bird. Sorry to break it to you! GIVE THE PEOPLE FREEDOM OF SPEECH! For president of Ecuador, Rafael Correa: Mr. Correa, I believe youve done okay handling Ecuador. Although we still have a lot of progress to make, I believe you have helped our country a lot. Youve absolutely made the roads better. Your government is the first Ecuadorian one Ive seen raise awareness about pollution. I admire a lot of your work, but having said that, I do believe youve made a flaw in your last act. Please do not support Maduro. He is taking away freedom of speech. He is taking away the same right of speech that you talked about and defended in an interview with Julian Assange. You are making your people love you. He is making his people fear him, and he is making his people fear the Venezuelan authorities. Mr. Correa, you are a very descent and cult man. I believe you can make the right choice. I will not criticize you because you will do what you believe is best. Finally, to the protestors of Venezuela: You guys are role models. You guys are the heroes that your country deserves. Times will be tough. I will not lie. Terrible things will happen. But its worth it. Its worth it enduring this hell that the government is making for you because you know that you are the ones who will end it. You are putting a stop to this injustice. You can do what is right. You are doing what is right. Always stay positive and peaceful because thats the way you will win. Things will soon start looking your way. Good always triumphs over evil. Id like to tell you a quote from The Last Of Us. Endure and survive. Thats what you have to do now. You can all make it. You are the heroes who are fighting for justice. I believe in all of you. One last thing... If Im mysteriously stabbed or murdered tomorrow, or if I receive death threats, we all know its not coincidence. Ive done my part for now. Now its your turn to stand up for justice. Protestors of Venezuela, you have my full support from Ecuador. There are many people here who care for you, as well. This is a call to everyone. Speak out. Be free. Express your thoughts. I want to stand up for what I know is justice. My name is Saadin Dassum, and I am here to stand up for those who cant. #prayforvenezuela Please share this with anyone you can. Spread the word. Make justice have a strong voice. You dont even need to like, for all I care. Just make people know about all of this.
