Whenever I struggle over being an atheist activist, when Im upset by the infighting in our community, when I look at the steep uphill battle that lays ahead... I just watch Jesus Camp and remember all over again why I do what I do. I grew up in that. I went to those camps. It makes me angry. It makes me cry. It makes me want to fight harder for evidence based decision making, reason, logic, and critical thinking. It makes me look into the eyes of my six year old daughter and say, You will have a better world than I did. Unlike some people, I wont pray for it... Ill make it happen. Thank you to all my friends that make it easier to do this. Thank you for the world you are bringing about for my daughter.
