Whenever I travelled to a new country, I always visit a bookshop. - TopicsExpress

Whenever I travelled to a new country, I always visit a bookshop. This time was no different. The lady at the counter asked: Madam, only Mozambican authors? I politely explained to her that I wouldnt get these books in India. She was relieved I guess. Back in Goa I started reading my new books. The first one is a biography of the journalist Carlos Cardoso named: É Proibido pôr Algemas nas Palavras. Through Carlos Cardoso one can understand the Mozambique of the 70s till today. I had a lot of misconceptions about Mozambique before reading this book. I still believe that it is not the internet and the newspapers of your country that will enable you to know the real situation of another country.
