Where Would Travis Be Today? What if……? We didn’t know about Travis Alexander until we heard about his murder. What we heard was more than gruesome and there were many unanswered questions in the beginning. We just knew that a man was brutally murdered at the age of 30 years old but we really didn’t know a thing about Travis. He was just another person murdered until the facts of the murder began to unravel. And then, we were shocked by the brutality of this man’s murder. Just to hear that he was stabbed 29 times, shot in the head and that whoever did this, cut his throat from ear to ear to the point that he was almost decapitated. Then we were introduced to Jodi Arias. Her jailhouse interviews are classic ones now. With her putting on make-up, smiling for the cameras and her all time statement of, ‘No jury will ever convict me, just wait and see,’ was a shocker. She didn’t look like a murderer, by any means. And we heard more than one story of what happened from her so now…..they had our attention. But who was Travis Alexander? The more we heard about him, the more we really, really liked him. The hard cold facts remain that Travis will ALWAYS be 30 years old. He will never grow any older. And for his siblings and friends to go visit their brother, they have to go to a dreary cemetery and sit and talk to him. That will always be the only place they can be with Travis. Travis didn’t get the opportunity to grow older, achieve his dreams, and find the wife that he so longed for or to hold his first born child that he had envisioned. There are no more dreams for Travis to fulfill. There will no more family reunions on holidays like Thanksgiving that is coming up. He won’t ever get to go Christmas shopping for any of his friends or family and he’ll forever miss every one of their birthdays. Because Travis is gone from this earth as we know it. But where would Travis have been today had he lived? What ‘IF’ he had never met Jodi Arias? Or what ‘IF’ when he tried to break it off with her, she would finally ‘get it’ and simply move on? Never to be heard from again! Where would Travis be? I know this much…..Travis’ voice will never be heard again. His humor that was so contagious and his personality that was so mesmerizing…..is gone forever. His voice has been silenced. And while we have been forced with having to look at his murderer every day that she’s in court, and as much as we have grown to despise her, she IS ALIVE. She IS growing older and who knows what her dreams are but good luck with achieving them Jodi. You may be living by all definitions of being ‘alive’ Jodi but you are dead inside and you are just a shell of a human being. But you won’t be spending Thanksgiving with your family either, or Christmas, or birthdays. You won’t have children and you will never be with your family and friends either. For all purposes…..you are just as dead as Travis is. So whether you’re fighting for your right to stay alive or not……your life is really over! And sadly, nobody cares! Admin/Sharon.....
