Where does gentleman training start? Recently I met a female friend for lunch (this was platonic) and when we arrived I pulled out her chair. Then when she went to the bathroom, I stood up and when she returned-I stood up. She said OMGosh... I rarely see that in a man-thank you. Well, I shared with her that my mother took me aside when I was twelve years old and taught me a few things about being a gentleman and she made me promise I would do these simple things no matter what... you see, I was trained. These days women complain about men who arent a gentleman, however, men naturally want to please women so do we have to bash them if they went trained properly? Or is there another reason why they dont act the way you wished? Thoughts?
