Where is one place you might not think of for a study abroad program? How about at SEA?! Sea Education Association is the program that junior Pitcher, Miranda Stokes from Perry, Utah participated in last semester and truly had the most amazing experience. She began her program, (Colonization to Conservation in the Caribbean), in Massachusetts where they spent six weeks learning everything you needed to know before boarding a ship and formulating maritime research projects. They then spent two weeks in the U.S. Virgin Islands collecting data about their projects and conducting snorkel surveys. In St. Croix they boarded the SSV Corwith Cramer and began sailing. Down to Grenada, back to Antilles, over to Dominica and finally docking in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico where they finished up their research and said their goodbyes. Mirandas major is History with a minor in Environmental Studies.
