Where there is no struggle, there is no strength, and If it doesnt challenge you, it doesnt change you are sayings based on the Progressive Overload Principal. Progressive Overload Principal basically states that in order for a muscle to grow, strength to be gained, performance to increase, or for any similar improvement to occur, the human body must be forced to adapt to a tension that is above and beyond what it has previously experienced. So every time you work yourself harder, push yourself farther or force out one more rep than before, youre applying the progressive overload principal. You cant grow without it.
