Where things stand: despite having had two full truckloads hauled, there are still -more- boxes of inventory, and more fixtures left. What we need: a) With the extra amount of time put in by the movers, cost of hauling wound up almost twice what was expected, effectively wiping out the income from BayCon. We need to raise another $1500 to finish this move and pay for the next months rent on the storage lockers. b) We have a bunch of great, sturdy bookcases from Borders which we dont have room for (see first photo), and which want new owners. c) We still have several hundred boxes of inventory to move. Perhaps someone wants to buy a box or two? Good deals available. d) We still have the two counters, one from the original Channing Way store, one built for the Shattuck store. Have no room for storing either. If someone wants to take them or store them for us, that would be great. Lets talk. If not, is there someone who could come by and (sob) turn them into free wood? e) We also have a great but large work cart. Same as above. f) We have steel shelving (legacy of the Graduate Theological Union bookstore, see 5/20 photo of the wall of boxes) which well need to break down Monday morning, since we dont have access this weekend. The task is not difficult, but is time-consuming. Not sure if we have the space to store the pieces, but believe that once reconstituted they may be useful in the lockers. g) We need to make space in the second existing storage locker to accommodate the remaining inventory and three bookcases that we plan to keep. Scott and Dave will be looking at this project later today. Volunteers to help move and restack the contents of this locker tomorrow (Sunday) would be greatly appreciated. PM for details. h) We have made arrangements with the Tibetan movers to take one more load Monday morning. Well also be taking Scott and Jerry Jacks bookcases to the home of Felice and Blake Maxam. Again, this can only be done during the hours of 8am and 1pm, and apparently only if Dave is present.
