Its been brought to my attention that my unscripted remarks in front of News 12 may have been taken the wrong way by my former colleagues. I should have been much more specific in stating my criticisms were directed at station management and not the reporting/photogs/producers/editors and assignment desk. I begged station management not to suspend me because it would result in a backlash against the field crews. I was clear about the fact that I was not asking this out of self interest or trying to save my own ass. I knew it could result in a massive Cablevision Boycott and a PR nightmare and they refused to take me seriously. I suggest they start listening to their field crews and start taking their own reporters more seriously as their blundering ways are now the subject of a national discussion. My only regret in all of this is that I will no longer be seeing the incredible people who work at News 12.
