Where to begin is never an easy opening. This year, 2014 will be the last year for The Local 109. We have had 9 amazing years, have written original songs, have played to the most gracious and appreciative audiences and have filled our souls with Rock n Roll. Joe & I (Lisa) have recently started a Millwork business along with running for 15 years a frame to finish carpentry business. Our work and new business has grown exponentially. We are blessed and grateful every day we wake up. With the success, growth, and structuring a successful business it is requiring 99% of our efforts. We have an amazing family, five stupendous grandchildren, two kick ass motorcycles, and a wonderful circle of friends. All of the fore mentioned we have no time for. Weve ridden our motorcycles twice this year, rarely see our family and friends, so something had to give. To be a working band requires lots of time. Our passion is music, its in our souls and will never, ever leave us, however the commitment and work that it requires is what we have decided we need to give up tonsllow for family and friend time. We only get one go of this life and we have to embrace whats closest to us before were gone. It was not an easy decision, and Mike Travis and Rick Dunton are two of the most awesome people we could have ever asked for to be in his relationship with. Tony White and Brian Richards who we started this journey with nine years ago for just a throw together for the Waban Jam, who wouldve thunk!? Art Stevens, spending many years with you behind the kit was a pleasure. You are awesome. Kenny Samuelson, for the short time we had trying out our sound with keys - you are a true talent. So, we will be still gigging for the remainder of the year, however its scaled back and this is our farewell tour. Thank you for all of your love, and the friendships we have made, and for sharing our passion with us. We will miss you all.
