Which film would make the 2008 Paris Hilton-starrer The Hottie & The Nottie look good? We now know. It’s Ali Abbas Zafar’s Gunday. Zafar’s second directorial venture (which had released this Valentine’s Day) has been rated the worst film ever on IMDB. It has an average score of 1.4 points out of 10 through nearly 45,000 votes, shooting to the top of IMDB’s Bottom 100 chart a full 0.4 points clear of the Paris Hilton masterpiece. What’s more, three Paris Hilton films on the Bottom 100 list rank higher than Gunday: Nine Lives, The Hillz, and Pledge This. This is an enviable feat if you’ve ever seen Paris Hilton act. Was the film that bad? No. Yahoo’s Rummana Ahmed gave it three stars. Elsewhere, Times of India gave it 3.5 stars, and Rediff gave it 2/5 despite taking a critical view of the film’s many plot holes. So what went down on IMDB? What happened was Gunday managed to annoy a large group of Bangladeshi netizens, who then went medieval on the down-vote button on IMDB. David Goldenberg reports: In its first 11 minutes, the movie claims that India alone defeated Pakistan, and implies that an independent Bangladesh was simply a result of the fight.
