While CAGW uncovered numerous earmarks hidden within the 1603 pages of the CRomnibus, a section buried deep within the bill further prohibits the usage of taxpayer funds for the painting of portraits of employees of the federal government. CAGW President Tom Schatz told The New York Times that while the provision wont make much of a dent in curbing Washingtons wasteful appetite, it is a step in the right direction, albeit small.
