While I seldom do status updates, some may have noticed my relative absence for a couple of months. Some have heard about me on the grapevine. I chose not to share my health woes with all seven billion people who seem to have access to our lives via Facebook, and most of the time had only my phone to type on, so I have been limited to birthday wishes, etc. I will update now for those who are interested and are not close enough to me personally to know what has been going on. I retired at the end of July, and within a couple of days was admitted to the hospital I retired from. This resulted from a fall at home, with extended stay on the bathroom tile. I have had various complications since, mostly infectious. Thanks to all the nurses and therapists who cared for me at Peninsula Regional, Chesapeake Health South and Salisbury Genesis. I am now home, but still getting home health and physical therapy. Getting close to my previous baseline, but have a lot of work to do. I have lost weight from being ill, and even more deliberately. I have some lifestyle changes to make, and appreciate encouragement. I advise anyone who may find themselves in a position of Ive fallen and I cant get up to look into services which address that. Or at least have your cell phone with you at all times, even, or especially, the bathroom. Thanks to all who have been thinking about or praying for me
