While I was in The Famous Robert E. Lee High School Band of Baytown, Texas, we had the pleasure each year of performing with Doc Serverinsen, one of the greatest trumpet players of all time. This is a recording of us performing Floyd Werles Concerto No. 3 for Trumpet with Doc. The performance was on June 4, 1976, when I was a graduating senior. Our conductor was the late Charles Forque, my mentor, friend, and colleague. I wish more of our concert recordings were available on You Tube, where I found this. Many would especially enjoy the country and pop music we played from the day.
