While I was in Tuesday Morning buying picture frames, I witnessed the most wonderful thing. An elderly gentleman and his wife were in line in front of me and his shopping cart was full to brimming with Doug and Melissa toys. For those of you who arent familiar with them, they are wonderful basic learning toys, bright and well-crafted to last a long time, and Tuesday morning sells them at a discount. Anyway, while I was thinking to myself those are some lucky grandkids! I overheard the cashier ask him if they were for his grandchildren. No maam, he replied. I have grandchildren but these arent for them - I just buy these and give them away to other kids who need toys. My heart melted into a million pieces and puddled on the floor. He spent $262! There IS good in the world! It is all around us - you can choose to focus on the positive or the negative and what you choose affects who you become.
