While a lot of folks still have pre-set notions on the bully breeds. Each dog is a result of their breeding and how they were/are raised. Hermans old Staff now retired catch dog Jacksons Ripper aka Rip, has always been such a sweet boy. Ive never seen him bark at a person, even if hes never seen them...and is a complete SUCKER for a puppy! We had hell, when old Josie Rose had her first litter, very protective, she just couldnt understand, nor tolerate that male dog that kept trying to babysit! Well this past winter, we almost lost him. Why? Because although I had Dutch all comfy for my Bud Light pups and she decided she didnt want that house, she wanted Rips. So bless his heart he sat all night at the door in the sleet and got VERY sick. I thought several times we would loose him. He has slowly gotten better, but due to his age, will never be the dog he once was. BUT!!! He will never loose his love of a pup, his project now? Why to love on them Bud Light pups. They love their adopted Grandpa and he loves them as well, so much so we put him next to them, now what does he do? Why make certain they can escape by TEARING HOLES IN THE KENNEL FENCE!!! Love old Rip, and as long as theyll stay close, Ill let them have their old PawPaw. There is no love like and old dogs love.
