While attending the Pawtucket City Council meeting on Wednesday - TopicsExpress

While attending the Pawtucket City Council meeting on Wednesday November 5th Community Response Rhode Island met a Pawtucket resident who had an unlawful entry made on his property and materials removed by the City of Pawtucket. We are currently researching and documenting this incident as it seems to fit the derelict actions we have already proven take place between the Pawtucket Zoning Department and the Pawtucket Municipal Court. The agenda for the evening also included a discussion on the dangers of children soliciting money for youth organizations in the street. There was testimony from homeless advocate Attorney Andrew Horowitz who made sure any soliciting legislation did not adversely affect the homeless. To the councils credit they did not move forward with legislation that may impact homeless who panhandle under the guise of child safety. I also had a chance to speak with Attorney Horowitz and he was very open giving our group legal advice in our accountability endeavors. All in all a very productive evening.
