While birthday business continues, Im compelled to reflect upon - TopicsExpress

While birthday business continues, Im compelled to reflect upon the last year -- the chaos, the health scares, the fun, the heartaches, the new friendships, the severed ones, the deaths, the births, the divorces, the marital unions, the job, the home maintenance, losing my Laney, welcoming my Molly ... and the whirlwind on activity with some of my best friends: the Rascal Flatts concert, Garth Brooks, Zac Brown Band, Konerkos send off at the Sox game, T-Mags Lalapalooza, oh Lord, the list continues. Also, as most of you know, I have taken a sabbatical from the romance department in an effort to rid myself of the stress that accompanies it, and in its place I have cultivated and nurtured true friendships -- lifelong, lasting friendships -- that bring immeasurable joy. (Im a little bit about joy, yknow.) So, having said all of this, as Im reflecting on this past year and all that has been involved and that which hasnt been involved, it occurs to me that there is one thing that is a constant and still ever-present. Food. Thats right. Food. I started this year completely focused on losing 10-12 lbs by my birthday. I have about 28 lbs. to go. :p #timeforbreakfast
