While finishing packing for a work trip, I have too many bags and the irony doesnt escape me that its also a metaphor for my life this week. Literally every day there was something that ended NOT the way I wanted it to. On two days there was more than one thing that was tough to take. But the great thing about extra baggage is you can just leave it behind. There IS only so much you can take with you, choose the important stuff, take with you only what you need. And yet despite the fact I have a plethora of things to be sad, disappointed and hurt over....Im all smiles today. No one said life was going to be easy or fair. But today Im alive, a patch is more honourable than a hole and I get to go travelling for work and do something I love, and be with my family and a good friend while doing it, and that is totally right on.
