While listening to the Megillah today all I could think about was how brave Esther was in the face of such danger! She truly sacrificed her life for the lives of others! Women its all about our strength and leadership! How relevant is todays Shaarei Chinuch horaah of the day: Nshe ubnos Yisroel especially should learn from Esther HaMalka in increasing efforts in a manner of mesiras nefesh, in a way of ד״לא ידע, arousing all of Yisroel to fulfill [the directive] לך כנוס את כל היהודים (gather all of the Yidden), Achdus Yisroel. Similarly, adding in strengthening their main shlichus: the chinuch of bnei and bnos Yisroel, [the shluchus] which is handed especially to women, in addition to the emphasis on educating small children in the matters of the days of Purim in general- ״וזכרם לא יסוף מזרעם״ (And these days of Purim will never pass from among the Jews nor shall their memory depart from their descendants.), the decree was nullified through small children... footnote 114: The minhag Yisroel is to take advantage of the days of Purim to increase in the chinuch of small children. Efforts are also made in including the children in the mitzvos of Purim. Mishloach Manos are sent through children. At the time of reading the Megilah the custom is for small children to take smooth stones and write on them Haman, and when the reader of the Megilah reads the name Haman, they strike the two stones together to erase his name (אבודרהם תפלת פורים).
