While most teams are treating the Vodafone Fiji team as the side to beat in the Dubai Sevens, England coach Simon Amor says they won’t be doing so. Fiji, which annihilated England 48-7 in the Gold Coast 7s semi-final in Australia in October, is one of the top bets for the tournament. Amor says while Fiji has been marked out by most sides as the ones to beat in this edition, he dismissed any suggestions of focusing on any particular teams or individuals. He adds they don’t tend to focus our attention on one side, as there are plenty of talented sides competing in the Series who all deserve equal respect. Meanwhile, Fiji plays France in its opening match at 6.44pm on Friday, before meeting Brazil at 9.44pm. The last pool match is against Argentina at 1.52am on Saturday.
