While pumping gas at WaWa Owen and I were approached by a woman asking for gas money to get her and her family home to Wheeling WV. I initially apologized and said I did not have any extra money on me (which as everyone knows I never have cash on me). Owen in his wonderful, thoughtful, giving personality says to this person... If I had my piggy bank with me I would give you everything in it. She thanked us and walks to a U Haul rental truck sitting at the gas pump a few over from us. As I watch my fuel bill roll up above $50 and listen to Owen talk about this woman and how she was going to get home I thought why not so Owen and I went into WaWa and withdraw some money out of the ATM. Owen gave her the money when we went outside and he is the most happy little boy that he was able to help someone get home. Im not 100% sure we were not scammed but maybe it was a lesson for my little boy and hopefully this person was honestly in need of help.
