While reading the Cloudcroft newspaper, I ran across this article entitled, Mountain Driving: Just whats the big durn hurry. The author, Sacramento Slim, wrote, Some flatlanders have just got to go as fast as they can from point A to point B and seem to miss out on what they are driving by. He also wrote, But the worst thing that those flatlanders does is fly up behind you and try and crawl up your tailpipe. Mountain folks will hang back 30 to 40 yards from the guy in front of them just to be neighborly. I actually relate this story to our entire life, not just our driving. Two questions.....Are we enjoying our journey? And, are we being neighborly? 1 Tim. 6:17b ...put our hope in God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. He wants us to see and enjoy His creations. Really see. And to be neighborly....Matt. 19:19b ...love your neighbor as yourself. Today, may our goal be.....to enjoy our journey and be neighborly. If we think more highly of others than ourselves, our attitude will be different from that of the world. And, we are called to be different and act differently. Thanks to Sacramento Slim for his insightful words. Happy Tuesday, yall!
