“While today’s court ruling is undeniably a victory, real justice will come when the victims of Arpaio see their rights fully vindicated. At a bare minimum, the White House should respond by immediately suspending deportations throughout Maricopa County,” said Carlos Garcia, of the Puente Movement. “I applaud Judge Snow’s ruling that confirms what the Latino community has known all along. That sheriff Arpaio had deliberately targeted Latinos. Sheriff Joe Arpaio must resign,” said Dr. Warren Stewart, pastor of First Institutional Baptist Church and Phoenix Council candidate. Lawyers for Arpaio may appeal the decision.
