While visiting with our shelter guests yesterday evening (11/26), - TopicsExpress

While visiting with our shelter guests yesterday evening (11/26), I learned that one of the men who was staying with us likes to crochet. He makes hats and mittens for other people who are homeless or in need. He may make money from this venture, I am not sure. He gets his yarn by taking apart blankets that have holes and are no longer useful as blankets. If Friends have knitted or crocheted blankets or large sweaters that are no longer useful for their current purpose, please consider donating them to our guest. He needs larger yarn. He has large fingers and finds it harder to work with smaller yarn. He said something about sizes G and J, I think (one is too small and one is the smallest he likes). It did not register with me since I am not a yarn person. (DMP)
