While waiting for the rains to subside, BobBob grabbed a blue 55 gallon barrel and rolled it next to the rain spout that was dumping water at a rapid clip right onto the porch railing. We got two 2.5 gallon buckets and started filling the big barrel. Caught every ounce of 55 gallons in less than half an hour. Big trouble is that once we filled the barrel, Bob tells me there is NOT a spigot on the barrel. Good thing we filled it on the deck. We can siphon it out to the lawn. Time to learn how to add a spigot to a barrel...
