While we scream and complain about the evils of the police, we do have to remember that they do provide a vital service to our society. As we shouldnt judge a whole bushel of apples because of a few bad ones, neither should we judge the police because of a few corrupt cops. Its not so much the police thats corrupt, but politicians who make the laws. The police dont make the laws, and they may be the first to agree that some laws even suck. But they have sworn by their badges to uphold the law just the same. I agree that some cops are on an ego trip, and that only serves to stigmatize the whole thing. Its probably essential that we realize that God loves ALL OF US UNCONDITIONALLY, and that goes for law enforcement officers as well. My prayer is that Darren Wilson and Daniel Pantaleo will make peace with Michael Brown and Eric Garner and all four of them as well as ourselves will rejoice that Jesus Christ is Lord.
