While we were out and about today, three different people at three different locations gave me the sympathy look and speech after they heard how close in age my children are. One of them even grabbing her heart saying how she would just die if hers were that close. I have compiled a list of my responses to people like this. So, if youre saying the same thing in your mind about my awesome family, here are my responses to you. Girl, you are brave! - No, just blessed! You sure do have your hands full. - Yes, full of love and snuggles! I would not want to be you! - You should definitely want to be me! What were you thinking?? - How blessed we would be if we had two children 18 months apart! I bet you are exhausted! - What mother isnt?? Did you mean to have them this close? - Yes! I could never have my children that close in age. - I am sorry to hear that. The only thing acceptable to say to a parent with children close in age: Your children are so cute, amazing, wonderful, brilliant, etc. You look great for having two children!
