While we work trying to get the #SophiesPatch ready for the Open Garden in less than 2 weeks, the animals continue to do their thing. Sherlock (the guard Maremma) digs holes for us to fill in and today I went over the watering system in the orchard to discover how much chewing he’s been up to. Aargh! The silk worms in a bowl on our kitchen table continue to eat and grow faster than my mulberry trees are coming in to leaf. Three ducks which escaped from the orchard found the water bowl I had set up for the insects I hope to attract to my insect hotel. Can’t imagine the insects will want to drink from that water bowl after the ducks have washed and whatever else in it!? Life on #SophiesPatch is never boring and we are never short of things laugh about!? :)
