Whilst its hard to overcome the disappointment of finishing 4th and 5th, I feel privileged to have played a role in the most successful ever Winter Paralympic team. Thank you to all my supporters - your messages and good will helps lift me when I feel tired and reminds me that it has all been worth it, regardless of the outcome. I feel fortunate to have grown up with this poem on the loo door - it refuels my inner strength. I did not get injured despite some big crashes (along with nearly half of the sitting fields in the speed events), although I am quite sore now! Thanks to Channel 4 the UK has had the chance to see that Winter Paralympians are tough, brave and a little bit crazy. Competing in the Sochi Winter Paralympics has been a unique experience and my team and support team British Disabled Ski Team ParalympicsGB have all worked incredibly hard. After a very intense four years, it is nice to be home.
