Whilst its hard to overcome the disappointment of finishing 4th - TopicsExpress

Whilst its hard to overcome the disappointment of finishing 4th and 5th, I feel privileged to have played a role in the most successful ever Winter Paralympic team. Thank you to all my supporters - your messages and good will helps lift me when I feel tired and reminds me that it has all been worth it, regardless of the outcome. If you can meet with triumph and disaster, and treat these two impostors just the same... Yours is the earth and everything thats in it, and, which is more, youll be a man my son! Rudyard Kipling. I feel fortunate to have grown up with this poem on the loo door - it refuels my inner strength. I did not get injured despite some big crashes (along with nearly half of the sitting fields in the speed events), although I am quite sore now! Thanks to Channel 4 the UK has had the chance to see that Winter Paralympians are tough, brave and a little bit crazy. Competing in the Sochi Winter Paralympics has been a unique experience and my team and support team British Disabled Ski Team ParalympicsGB have all worked incredibly hard. After a very intense four years, it is nice to be home.
