Who has been lying to whom? This shows again that the Eritrean regime has been lying to the people of Eritrea since day one! The regime have mobilized the Eritrean people, especially in the diaspora by telling the Eritrean people: we have not supported Al Shabaab. This has been clearly a lie! Like the other lie: there is no human rights violations in Eritrea! If the Eritrean regime has nothing to hide, why not allow the UN special rapporteur and the commission of enquiry to visit Eritrea. I hope the apologists will pay attention to this. 1. On the wider point, there has been very clear evidence in successive monitoring group reports of support of Al Shabaab from Eritrea; in the latest report there is much less evidence and that is encouraging. But because the montioring has not been allowed to visit Asmara, they have said very clearly that they have not been able to investigate the various strands of evidence that comes their way. So if Eritrea is no longer supporting Al Shabaab, then why do they not allow the monitoring group ...to visit, talk to whoever they want to talk? And then no doubt the monitoring group will report that there is no further evidence of support for Al Shabaab. In that case the UK would be one of the first countries to suggest that the sunctions be lifted..
